Rental Program FAQ
A rental is not due until the last day of each semester.
The full rental price can be applied to the purchase price if you want to keep the book. Example: $25 rental applied to $75 purchase = pay $50 to keep.
Yes. The rental price includes the access code; the book must be returned at semester end.
Standard writing and highlighting allowed. Excessive damage may result in replacement charges.
A debit/credit card is required in case the rental is not returned.

Your card on file will be charged for the full replacement unless arrangements are made.
You will get an emailed receipt confirming your return.
Contact the bookstore to pay the next semester’s rental fee.

Pay the difference between rental price and replacement cost.

Rental Agreement
I will return rented materials on or before the rental return date. I am responsible for their condition and for replacement costs if lost, stolen, or damaged including water damage, missing pages, damaged bindings, or missing study aids.
If materials are not returned by the due date, the credit card on file will be charged a $10 rental extension fee plus the retail price minus the rental amount paid. Replacement costs assessed five days after due date. If card is declined, a student hold is placed and account may be sent to collections.
Replacement copies with same ISBN, title, author, and edition may be accepted before the return date. I consent to receiving communications from NMHU Bookstore by email or text.
